The EMS University 24 Hour EMT Refresher Course Meets NREMT Requirements for Recertification.
There are many benefits to keeping or obtaining NREMT certification. We have compiled a short list of reasons why EMS providers should maintain their National Registry of EMTs certification below:
Required to Obtain New Status as EMT
Recently, the NREMT mandated all providers to transition from the EMT-Basic level to the EMT level. This change of title means that the EMT is at a higher level of educational understanding than the previous EMT-Basic. You can read about the new standards by clicking here. You can also take an NREMT refresher course by clicking here.
NREMT Certification Makes Recertifying Your County EMS Certification Easier
When you take a NREMT recertification course, you can use the Continuing Education hours towards your San Diego County EMS Certification. This helps to make the recertification process easier. Moving In State
The State of California requires NREMT certification in order to initially become an EMT in California. For this reason, it will be required to obtain your NREMT if you would like to become an EMT in California. You can take an NREMT refresher course by clicking here.
Moving Out of State
For the same reasons identified above, most states require NREMT certification in order to become an EMT in those respective states. You can take an NREMT refresher course by clicking here.
National Scope of Practice
As identified above, the National Scope of Practice Module requires a greater number of continuing education. This can be achieved by taking an NREMT refresher course and meeting the requirements for certification through the NREMT. You can take an NREMT refresher course by clicking here.
